The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has verified that on October 1, 2023, Abiy regime forces killed at least 20 civilians in Durbete and Wetet-Abay areas, located in South Achefer Woreda of the newly formed North Gojjam Zone (Amhara Region, Ethiopia). In addition, AAA has verified cases of gang rape against civilians in Sebatamit (Bahir Dar city) by regime forces on October 9, 2023.
