Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers extrajudicially executed a civilian in Ambomesk Kebele in North Mecha Woreda

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has learned that on December 12th, 2025 Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers (regime forces) extrajudicially executed a civilian in Ambomesk Kebele in North Mecha Woreda (North Gojjam Zone, Amhara Region, Ethiopia). On the day of the incident, regime forces apprehended a local farmer identified as Ato Achenef Teshome while he was harvesting crops on his farmland in the Kwaja locality of Ambomesk. He was then forcibly taken to his residence under the accusation of concealing a firearm. The regime forces conducted a thorough search of the victim’s property and after failing to locate any firearms, the soldiers attempted to extort the victim, demanding a cash payment equivalent to the market value of a firearm. When the victim maintained his innocence and stated his inability to pay, the soldiers subjected him to physical torture and inflicted multiple stab wounds to his chest and abdomen areas. Reports indicate that when the victim did not immediately succumb to his injuries, the soldiers shot him three times within point-blank range. Following the execution, the soldiers abandoned the body on the street before leaving the area. The troops were observed celebrating the killing and claiming to have neutralized a Fano combatant. The late victim was highly regarded by his community as a model citizen and was a married man and father of eight.

የአማራ ማህበር በአሜሪካ ከምንጮች በደረሰው መረጃ፣ በታኅሣሥ 3 ቀን፣ 2018 ዓ.ም. በሰሜን ሜጫ ወረዳ፣ አምቦመስክ ቀበሌ (ሰሜን ጎጃም ዞን፣ አማራ ክልል፣ ኢትዮጵያ) የኦሮሞ ብልጽግና ፓርቲ አገዛዝ ወታደሮች (የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች) አንድ ንጹህ አርሶ አደር ከፍርድ ውጭ መግደላቸውን ተረድቷል። በዕለቱ አቶ አቸነፍ ተሾመ የተባለ የአካባቢው አርሶ አደር በአምቦመስክ ቀበሌ፣ ልዩ ስሙ ኳጃ በሚባል ቦታ በማሳው አዝመራ እየሰበሰበ ከነበረበት የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች «የጦር መሳሪያ ደብቀሃል» በሚል አፍነው ወደ መኖሪያ ቤቱ በመውሰድ ጥብቅ ፍተሻ አድርገዋል። ባደረጉት ፍተሻ በመኖሪያ ቤቱ ምንም ዓይነት የጦር መሣሪያ ሲያጡ የ1 መሣሪያ ተመን ገንዘብ እንዲከፍላቸው ሟችን በማስፈራራት ለማስገደድ ሞከሩ። ሟች በበኩሉ መሳሪያ እንደሌለው እና መክፈል እንደማይችል ቢገልጽም፣ የአገዛዙ ወታደሮች በሟች ላይ ከፍተኛ ድብደባ በማድረግ ደረትና ሆዱ ላይ ደጋግመው በስለት በመውጋት በአሰቃቂ ሁኔታ ጉዳት አድርሰውበታል። በደረሰበት ድብደባ እና ስቃይ ወዲያውኑ ህይወቱ ባለማለፉ ወታደሮቹ ከቅርብ ርቀት ሦስት ጊዜ ጥይት በመተኮስ ገድለውታል። ወታደሮቹ ግድያውን ከፈጸሙ በኋላ አስከሬኑን ጎዳና ላይ ጥለው ከአካባቢው መሄዳቸውን ምንጮች ገልጸዋል። ግድያውን ፈጽመው ወደ ካምፓቸው ሲመለሱ "አንድ የፋኖ ተዋጊ ደመሰስን" በሚል እየጨፈሩ እንደነበር ተገልጿል። ሟች አቶ አቸነፍ፣ በህብረተሰቡ ዘንድ የተከበረ እና በአካባቢው እንደ አርአያ የሚወሰድ አርሶ አደር ሲሆን፣ ባለትዳርና የስምንት ልጆች አባት ነበር።
