AAA Meets with Ethiopian Diaspora Leaders and State Department Officials to Address Ethiopia Crisis

The Amhara Association in America (AAA) held a meeting with Ethiopian diaspora leaders and @StateDept officials regarding the situation in Ethiopia. An agreement was reached on 7 points aimed at promoting peace and justice in Ethiopia, including:

  • call to end the telecoms shutdown in the Amhara Region and

  • imposing sanctions on government and military officials involved in human rights violations including genocide against Amharas.
