Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers killed a young woman in Kebele 05 of Bahir-Dar City

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has learned that on April 15, 2026 Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers killed a young woman in Kebele 05 of Bahir-Dar City (Amhara Region, Ethiopia).

On the evening of April 14^th, a regime officer identified as Yamral Alebel forcefully abducted a young woman identified as Mahlet Maru from her workplace at the Mekuanint Sileshi Hotel, where she was employed as a waitress. The victim was then forcibly taken to the Blue Nile Hotel in Kebele 05, where she was subjected to a violent sexual assault before being shot repeatedly and killed at approximately 2 am. The incident took place at approximately 2 am and the young woman’s body was abandoned at the scene. A funeral was held the following day with locals expressing profound grief and outrage over the incident. The perpetrator was commander of the 12^th riot dispersal battalion and was accompanied by five armed escorts at the time of the incident. As of the time of this report no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

የአማራ ማኅበር በአሜሪካ በደረሰው መረጃ መሠረት፣ በሚያዝያ 7 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም. የኦሮሞ ብልጽግና ፓርቲ አገዛዝ ወታደሮች በባሕር ዳር ከተማ (አማራ ክልል፣ ኢትዮጵያ) ቀበሌ 05 አንዲት ወጣት ሴት መግደላቸውን አረጋግጧል።

እንደምንጮች ገለጻ፣ ሚያዝያ 6 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም. ምሽት ላይ ያምራል አለበል የተባለ የአገዛዙ አድማ ብተና አዛዥ ማኅሌት ማሩ የተባለችውን ወጣት በአስተናጋጅነት ከምትሠራበት መኳንንት ስለሺ ሆቴል በኃይል አፍኖ ቀበሌ 05 ወደሚገኝ ብሉ ናይል ሆቴል በመውሰድ የአስገድዶ መድፈር ጥቃት ከፈጸመባት በኋላ፣ ሌሊት ላይ በተደጋጋሚ በጥይት በመምታት ገድሏታል። ድርጊቱ የተፈጸመው ሌሊት 8 ሰዓት ገደማ ሲሆን ጥቃት ፈጻሚው የወጣቷን አስከሬን በዚያው ጥሎት መሄዱ ተጠቁሟል። የተፈጸመው ጥቃት በአካባቢው ማኅበረሰብ ዘንድ ቁጣ እና ሐዘንን የቀሰቀሰ ሲሆን፣ ድርጊቱ በተፈጸመ ማግስት የሟች ማኅሌት ቀብር መፈጸሙን ምንጮች ጠቁመዋል። ድርጊቱን የፈጸመው ግለሰብ የአገዛዙ አድማ ብተና 12ኛ ሻለቃ አዛዥ ከአምስት አጃቢዎቹ ጋር ሲሆን፣ ይህ መረጃ እስከተጠናቀረበት ጊዜ ድረስ በጥቃት አድራሾቹ ላይ የተወሰደ ምንም አይነት እርምጃ የለም ሲሉ ምንጮች ጠቁመዋል።
