Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers carried out a series of abuses against civilians in Dibko town of Lasta Woreda

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has learned that between March 24^th and 25^th, 2026 Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers (regime forces) carried out a series of abuses against civilians in Dibko town (Kebele 025) of Lasta Woreda (North Wollo Zone, Amhara Region, Ethiopia).

In the first incident, a 42-year-old woman identified as Woizero Yeshiye Guche Belete, a resident of Dibko, was abducted and raped by regime forces. On March 24^th, regime forces entered Dibko, detained several men and stripped and beat them, prompting her husband (a farmer) to flee for safety. Sources indicated that the regime forces separated the woman from her children and took her to a mountainous area, where she was held for two days (between March 24^th and 25^th) and subjected to gang rape. She was later released and returned to her home on the evening of March 25^th suffering severe physical injuries. She was reportedly in a state of trauma due to the abuse she endured. Unable to cope, she reportedly took her own life shortly after returning home. Before her death, she reportedly expressed concern for her children and asked others to care for them. Her funeral was conducted the following day (March 26^th).

In addition, at least five other civilians were reportedly abducted from Dibko and severely beaten. Among the victims was a woman who faced torture under pretext of alleged familial ties to Fano forces. The four other civilians also suffered serious physical injuries, particularly around the head and neck, and suffered from lasting hearing impairments due to the torture. The victims were reportedly elderly and respected members of the local community.

የአማራ ማህበር በአሜሪካ ከመጋቢት 15 እስከ 16 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም ባለው ጊዜ ውስጥ የገዥው የኦሮሞ ብልጽግና ፓርቲ አገዛዝ ወታደሮች (የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች) በዲብኮ ከተማ (ቀበሌ 025) ላስታ ወረዳ (ሰሜን ወሎ ዞን፣ አማራ ክልል፣ ኢትዮጵያ) በሲቪሎች ላይ ተከታታይ በደሎችን እንደፈጸሙ ተረድቷል።

በመጀመሪያው ክስተት፣ የ42 ዓመቷ ወይዘሮ የሽየ ጉቸ በለጠ የተባለች የዲብኮ ነዋሪ በአገዛዙ ኃይሎች ታፍና ተደፍራለች። መጋቢት 15 ላይ የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች ዲብኮ ገብተው በርካታ ወንዶች ላይ እስርና ጋፈፋ እንዲሁም ድብደባ የፈፀሙባቸው ሲሆን ይህም ባለቤቷ (ገበሬ) ለደህንነቱ እንዲሸሽ አድርጎታል። ምንጮች እንደሚያመለክቱት የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች ሴትየዋን ከልጆቿ ለይተው ወደ ተራራማ ቦታ ወስደው ለሁለት ቀናት (በመጋቢት 15 እና 16 መካከል) አስረው በቡድን አስገድዶ መድፈር ፈጽመውባታል። በኋላም ከባድ የአካል ጉዳት ደርሶባት በመጋቢት 16 ምሽት ተመልሳለች። በደረሰባት በደል ምክንያት በአሰቃቂ ሁኔታ ውስጥ እንደነበረች ተዘግቧል። መቋቋም ስላልቻለች ወደ ቤቷ ከተመለሰች ብዙም ሳትቆይ ሕይወቷን አጥፍታለች። ከመሞቷ በፊት ልጆቿ እንዳሳሰቧት እና ሌሎችም እንዲንከባከቧቸው እንደጠየቀች ተዘግቧል። የቀብር ሥነ ሥርዓቷ በማግስቱ (መጋቢት 17) ተፈፅሟል።

ከዚህም በተጨማሪ ቢያንስ አምስት ሌሎች ሲቪሎች ከዲብኮ ታፍነው ከባድ ድብደባ እንደተፈጸመባቸው ተዘግቧል። ከተጎጂዎቹ መካከል ከፋኖ ኃይሎች ጋር የቤተሰብ ትስስር እንዳላት የተገለፀች ስቃይ የደረሰባት ሴት ትገኝበታለች። ሌሎቹ አራቱ ሲቪሎች በተለይም ጭንቅላታቸው እና አንገታቸው አካባቢ ከባድ የአካል ጉዳት የደረሰባቸው ሲሆን በስቃዩ ምክንያት ለረጅም ጊዜ የመስማት ችግር ደርሶባቸዋል። ተጎጂዎቹ አረጋውያን እና የተከበሩ የአካባቢው ማህበረሰብ አባላት እንደሆኑ ተዘግቧል።
