Summary of Amhara War Updates for June 2026

Overview

Between June 1 to 30, 2026, AWU recorded battle events and human rights incidents across 108 distinct woreda/city administrations in 16 zonal administrations in 3 regions (Amhara, Oromia and Addis-Ababa).

The month of June 2026 marked intense fighting with significant military casualties and shifting control in several strategic areas. This month involved military operations both from the Fano and the Oromo Prosperity Party (OPP) regime's joint armed forces.

Over the reporting period, AWU recorded 180 battle events across 95 woreda/city administrations in 14 zonal administrations across 2 regions (Amhara and Oromia Regions) resulting in 3241 regime casualties and 57 Fano casualties.

Over the reporting period, AWU recorded 62 human rights incidents across 42 woreda/city administrations in 14 zonal administrations across 3 regions (Addis-Ababa, Amhara and Oromia Regions) resulting in:

• 116 civilians killed;

• 73 civilians injured;

• 3 SGBV/CRSV victims;

• 159 abductions and

• 91 arrests.

AWU also recorded 8 drone/air strikes across 5 woreda/city administrations in 3 zonal administrations which accounted for 6 civilian deaths and 6 civilian injuries.

While the majority of human rights incidents implicated OPP regime forces, other perpetrators included Tigray People's Liberation Front and Oromo Liberation Army.

ከግንቦት 24 እስከ ሰኔ 23 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም. (ጁን 1 እስከ 30፣ 2026) በ108 የተለያዩ ወረዳዎች/ከተማ አስተዳደሮች በ16 የዞን አስተዳደሮች (አማራ፣ ኦሮሚያ እና አዲስ-አበባ ክልሎች) ውስጥ የተለያዩ ውጊያዎች እና የሰብአዊ መብት ጥሰቶች ተመዝግበዋል።

በፈረንጆች ጁን 2026 ወር በተለያዩ ወሳኝ አካባቢዎች ከፍተኛ ወታደራዊ ጉዳት የደረሰባቸው እና የቁጥጥር ሚዛን ለውጥ የተደረጉባቸው ውጊያዎች ተካሔደዋል። በዚህ ወር የአማራ ፋኖ ራስን የመከላከያ ኀይል ከኦሮሞ ብልጽግና ፖርቲ አገዛዝ ጥምር ኀይሎች ጋር ሰፊ ውጊያዎችን አድርገዋል።

ዘገባው በተሰራበት ጊዜ ውስጥ በ95 ወረዳ/ከተማ አስተዳደሮች በ14 የዞን አስተዳደሮች ውስጥ (አማራ እና ኦሮሚያ ክልሎች) የተካሄዱ 180 ውጊያዎች ተመዝግበዋል። በዚኽም 3241 የአገዛዙ ኀይል አባላት ጉዳት ደርሶባቸዋል እና 57 የፋኖ አባላት ጉዳት የደረሰባቸው ተመዝግበዋል።

ዘገባው በተሰራበት ጊዜ ውስጥ በ42 ወረዳ/ከተማ አስተዳደሮች በ14 የዞን አስተዳደሮች በ3 ክልሎች (አዲስ-አበባ፣ አማራ እና ኦሮሚያ ክልሎች) 62 የሰብአዊ መብት ረገጣዎች ተመዝግበዋል። በዚኽም

• 116 ሰላማዊ ሰዎች ተገድለዋል፤

• 73 ሰላማዊ ሰዎች ቆስለዋል፤

• 3 ጾታዊ እና ጾታን መሰረት ያደረጉ ጥቃቶች ሰለባዎች፤

• 159 እገታዎች እና

• 91 እስራቶች ተመዝግበዋል።

በ3 ዞኖች በሚገኙ 5 ወረዳዎች/ከተማ አስተዳደሮች 8 ሰው አልባ አውሮፕላኖች በአየር ድብደባ በፈጸሙት ጥቃት ለ6 ሰዎች ሞት እና 6 ሰላማዊ ሰዎች ቆስለዋል።

በርካታዎቹ የሰብአዊ መብት ረገጣዎች በኦሮሞ ብልጽግና አገዛዝ ኀይሎች የተፈጸሙ ሲሆን የተወሰኑት ወንጀሎች በትግራይ ሕዝብ ነጻ አውጪ ግንባር እና ኦሮሞ ነጻነት ሰራዊት ተፈጽመዋል።
