Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers and Qemant militants killed at least seven civilians and injured several others in Metemma Woreda

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has learned that on July 30th, 2025 Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers (regime forces) and Qemant militants killed at least seven civilians and injured several others in separate incidents in Kuabir-Lomiye Kebele of Adagn-Hager-Chaqo Woreda and Werki-Mikael Church in Metemma Woreda (West Gonder Zone, Amhara Region, Ethiopia). In the first incident, on July 30th, regime forces killed three farmers in Kuabir-Lomiye Kebele. The farmers were executed under the pretext that they possessed weapons. The killed victims were identified as Sintayehu Belete, Teketay Delle, and Alelign Takele. The victims were buried the following day (July 31st). In the second incident, on the night of July 30th, Qemant militants killed four deacons in Werki-Mikael Church. The assailants are believed to be supported by regime forces. In addition to the killing of the deacons, numerous religious students present at Werki-Mikael were shot while attempting to flee and sustained critical bullet wounds.

የአማራ ማኅበር በአሜሪካ እንደተረዳው፣ ሐምሌ 23 ቀን 2017 ዓ.ም. የኦሮሞ ብልጽግና ፓርቲ አገዛዝ ወታደሮች (የአገዛዝ ኃይሎች) እና የቅማንት ታጣቂዎች በአማራ ክልል ምዕራብ ጎንደር ዞን በአዳኝ-ሃገር-ጫቆ ወረዳ ኳብር-ሎሚዬ ቀበሌ እና በመተማ ወረዳ በሚገኘው በወርኪ-ሚካኤል ቤተ ክርስቲያን በተደረጉ ጭፍጨፋዎች ቢያንስ ሰባት ሰላማዊ ሰዎችን ገድለዋል፣ በበርካቶች ላይ ደግሞ የአካል ጉዳት አድርሰዋል። በመጀመሪያው ጭፍጭፋ ሐምሌ 30 ቀን የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች በኳብር-ሎሚዬ ቀበሌ ሦስት ገበሬዎችን መሳሪያ አላችሁ በሚል ሰበብ ገድለዋቸዋል። የተገደሉት ተጎጂዎች ስንታየሁ በለጠ፣ ተከታይ ደሌ እና አለልኝ ታከለ ተብለው ተለይተዋል። ተጎጂዎቹ በቀጣዩ ቀን (ሐምሌ 24 ቀን) ተቀብረዋል። በሁለተኛው ጭፍጨፋ ደግሞ ሐምሌ 23 ቀን ምሽት የቅማንት ታጣቂዎች በወርኪ-ሚካኤል ቤተ ክርስቲያን አራት ዲያቆናትን ገድለዋል። ጥቃት አድራሾቹ በአገዛዙ ኃይሎች ድጋፍ ያገኛሉ ተብሎ ይታመናል። ዲያቆናቱን ከመግደላቸው በተጨማሪ በወርኪ-ሚካኤል የነበሩ በርካታ የአብነት ተማሪዎች ለማምለጥ ሲሞክሩ በጥይት ተመተው ከባድ የአካል ጉዳት ደርሶባቸዋል።
