Between April 18th and 19th, 2022, at least 12 Amhara civilians were killed, an additional 22 were injured and 125 houses were burned by Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) paramilitary forces in Efratana Gidim andKewetWoredas of North Shewa Zone in Ethiopia’s Amhara Region.
The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has verified from sources on the ground including officials, survivors, doctors and victims’ families that 12 civilians were killed and 22 more were injured by the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) paramilitary forces in Efratana Gidim (Efrata and Gidim) and Kewet Woredas (districts) of the North Shewa Zone (Amhara Region, Ethiopia).
In addition, 125 houses were systematically burned down by the same forces in Molale village, Zenbo Kebele (ward) of the Efratana Gidim Woreda. The violations had been perpetrated between April 18th and 19th, 2022, in raids
carried out by OLA forces in the Efratana Gidim an KewetWoredas of North Shewa Zone in Amhara Region.
