Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers carried out a civilian massacre in the Dijat locality of Baso-Liben District

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has learned that on October 21st, 2026 Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers (regime forces) carried out a civilian massacre in the Dijat locality of Baso-Liben District (East Gojjam Zone, Amhara Region, Ethiopia).
According to information received by AAA, regime forces particularly Ethiopian National Defense Force soldiers carried out a raid in Dijat village, located near Kork Town. Upon entry into this locality, the regime forces entered a local breakfast shop while customers were present. The regime forces then opened gunfire on the customers inside, killing five civilians (four men and one woman) and severely injuring two others.

የአማራ ማኅበር በአሜሪካ ከምንጮች ባገኘው መረጃ መሠረት፣ ጥቅምት 11 ቀን 2019 ዓ.ም. በባሶ ሊበን ወረዳ፣ (ምስራቅ ጎጃም ዞን፣ አማራ ክልል፣ ኢትዮጵያ)፣ የኦሮሞ ብልጽግና ፓርቲ አገዛዝ ወታደሮች (የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች) በንጹሀን ላይ ጭፍጨፋ መፈጸማቸውን ተረድቷል።
የአማራ ማኅበር በአሜሪካ ምንጮች እንደገለጹት፣ በእለቱ የአገዛዙ ሀይሎች በኮርክ ከተማ አቅራቢያ በምትገኝ ልዩ ስሙ ድጃት በተባለ የገጠር መንደር ወረራ አካሂደው ነበር። ወደ አካባቢው እንደገቡ በአካባቢው ወደሚገኝ አንድ ቁርስ ቤት በማምራት ከውስጥ በነበሩ ቁርስ ተጠቃሚዎች ላይ ተኩስ ከፈቱ። በዚህም ጥቃት አምስት ንጹሀን (አራት ወንዶችንና አንዲት ሴት) ሲገድሉ ሌሎች ሁለት ሰዎች ላይ ደግሞ ከባድ ጉዳት አድርሰዋል።
