Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers carried out deadly attacks on civilians in separate incidents in Amhara Region

Update – November 17, 2025 (Hedar 8, 2018 EC) 

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has learned that between November 12^th and 13^th, 2025 Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers (regime forces) carried out deadly attacks on civilians in separate incidents in Libo-Kemkem Woreda of South Gonder Zone and Adagn-Hager-Chaqo Woreda of West Gonder Zone (Amhara Region, Ethiopia). 

The first incident occurred on November 12^th when regime forces carried out an attack in Sebha-Gebriel Kebele (Libo-Kemkem Woreda). As a result of the attack, at least eight civilians were killed, among them a nine‑year‑old child and a local priest. Two other civilians sustained critical physical injuries and were admitted to hospital. All identified victims were described as farmers from Sebha-Gebriel. 

The second incident occurred on November 13^th when regime forces reportedly killed two unarmed civilians (farmers) in Geni Kebele (Adagn-Hager-Chaqo Woreda). The victims were forcibly removed from their homes and publicly executed by regime troops. In addition, the regime forces intentionally destroyed civilian property and looted cash and movable assets from farmers before ultimately withdrawing from Geni.

Both attacks were carried out in reprisal for military losses sustained by regime forces in battles with Fano units in surrounding areas of South Gonder and West Gonder Zones. 

መረጃ – ኅዳር 8 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም (ኖቬምበር 17, 2025) 

የአማራ ማህበር በአሜሪካ ባገኘው መረጃ መሠረት፣ የኦሮሞ ብልፅግና ፓርቲ አገዛዝ ኃይሎች (የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች) ከኅዳር 3 እስከ 4 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም (ከኖቬምበር 12 እስከ 13, 2025) ባሉት ቀናት ውስጥ በደቡብ ጎንደር ዞን ሊቦ-ከምከም ወረዳ እና በምዕራብ ጎንደር ዞን አዳኝ-ሀገር-ጫቆ ወረዳ (አማራ ክልል) በተለያዩ አጋጣሚዎች በንፁሃን ዜጎች ላይ የጅምላ ጭፍጨፋ ጥቃቶችን ፈጽመዋል።

እነዚህ ሁለቱም ጥቃቶች የተፈጸሙት የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች በአካባቢው ከፋኖ ኃይሎች ጋር ባደረጉት ውጊያ በደረሰባቸው ከፍተኛ ወታደራዊ ኪሳራ ምክንያት እንደ የበቀል እርምጃ ነው።

የመጀመሪያው አሰቃቂ የጅምላ ግድያ የተፈጸመው ኅዳር 3 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም በሊቦ-ከምከም ወረዳ ሰብሃ-ገብርኤል ቀበሌ ውስጥ ነው። የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች በፈጸሙት ጥቃት ምክንያት ቢያንስ ስምንት ንፁሃን ዜጎች ተገድለዋል፤ ከሟቾቹ መካከል የዘጠኝ ዓመት ልጅ እና አንድ የአካባቢው ካህን ይገኙበታል።

በተጨማሪም፣ ሁለት ሌሎች ሲቪሎች ከባድ የአካል ጉዳት ደርሶባቸው ለህክምና ወደ ሆስፒታል ገብተዋል። ሁሉም ተጎጂዎች የሰብሃ-ገብርኤል ቀበሌ ነዋሪ የሆኑ ገበሬዎች እንደነበሩ ታውቋል።

ሁለተኛው ጥቃት የተከሰተው ኅዳር 4 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም በአዳኝ-ሀገር-ጫቆ ወረዳ ገኒ ቀበሌ ነው። የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች ሁለት ንፁሃን ገበሬዎችን ከቤታቸው በኃይል ጎትተው በማውጣት በሕዝብ ፊት ግድያ ፈጽመውባቸዋል።

ከዚህም በተጨማሪ፣ የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች ከባድ ኪሳራ ደርሶባቸው ከቀበሌው ከመውጣታቸው በፊት የሲቪሎችን ንብረት ሆን ብለው አውድመዋል እንዲሁም ገንዘብና ተንቀሳቃሽ ንብረቶችን ከገበሬዎች ዘርፈዋል።

በሁለቱም ጥቃቶች የተገደሉ ንፁሃን ዜጎች ስም ዝርዝር (የቆሰሉ ተጎጂዎች ስም ሳይካተት ከዚህ በታች ቀርቧል፦
