Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers carried out deadly attacks on civilians resulting in numerous casualties in separate incidents in Estie and Farta Woredas

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has learned that between September 14th and 15th, 2025 Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers (regime forces) carried out deadly attacks on civilians resulting in numerous casualties in separate incidents in Estie and Farta Woredas (South Gonder Zone, Amhara Region, Ethiopia).

The first incident took place on September 14th, when regime forces carried out an attack on local civilians (farmers) in reprisal for military losses sustained during fighting with Fano forces near Amjaye Kebele (Estie Woreda). The fighting broke out after regime forces attempted to attack Fano forces which were planning a public gathering to discuss resumption education services for children. The victims were farmers who were attacked under accusation of being Fano sympathizers. The killed victims were identified as: (1) 50-year-old Tafete Desse, (2) 65-year-old Muche Yirga, and (3) 20-year-old Getasew Atnafu. In addition, a young man was critically injured and taken to Mekane-Eyesus town by the regime forces. Efforts were made by regime political cadres from the Estie Woreda administration to cover up the attack by falsely claiming that the farmers were, in fact, Fano members.

The second incident took place on September 15th, when regime forces killed a minibus driver named Daniel Dagnachew in Mahderemaryam town (Farta Woreda). The driver, had been ordered by regime forces to transport Andabet Woreda health professionals from Welesh town to Debre-Tabor city, and was provided a letter as proof of his official duties. He successfully completed the transport of the health professionals from Welesh to Debre-Tabor. However, on his return journey from Debre-Tabor to Welesh, he was intercepted by regime forces in Mahderemaryam town, who had arrived from Arb-Gebeya town. Despite presenting the official letter confirming his authorized service, the regime forces, without any apparent justification, shot him multiple times, resulting in his death.

የአማራ ማህበር በአሜሪካ በመስከረም 4 እና 5 ቀናት 2018 ዓ.ም መካከል የኦሮሞ ብልጽግና ፓርቲ አገዛዝ ኃይሎች (የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች) በአማራ ክልል ደቡብ ጎንደር ዞን እስቴና ፋርጣ ወረዳዎች ውስጥ ጭካኔ የተሞላበት የንጹሃን ግድያ መፈጸማቸውን ከምንጮቹ ተረድቷል። በጭፍጨፋውም ብዙ ሰዎች ተጎድተዋል።

የመጀመሪያው ጭፍጨፋ የተከናወነው በመስከረም 4 በእስቴ ወረዳ አምጃዬ ቀበሌ አካባቢ ሲሆን፣ የአገዛዙ ሃይሎች ከፋኖ ጋር በተደረገው ውጊያ ከፍተኛ ጉዳት ያስተናግዳሉ። በብስጭት የአገዛዙ ሃይሎች በንጹሃን ገበሬዎች ላይ የተኩስ እሩምታ በመክፈት ጉዳት አድርሰውባቸዋል። በወቅቱ የፋኖ ሃይሎች ከመምህራን፣ ከሱፐርቫይዘሮችና ከወረዳው ነዋሪዎች ጋር ትምህርት በሚጀመርበት ሁኔታ ላይ ለመወያየት ስብሰባ ጠርተው ነበር። የአገዛዙ ሃይሎችም አጋጣሚውን በመጠቀም ጦርነት ለመክፈት ወደ አምጃዬ ያመራሉ። መረጃው ለፋኖ በመድረሱ የአገዛዙ ሃይሎች አምጃዬ ሳይደርሱ ከፍተኛ ጉዳት አስተናግደው ወደኋላ ያፈገፍጋሉ። በሁኔታው የተበሳጩ የአገዛዙ ሃይሎች ገበሬዎችን በግፍ ገድለዋቸዋል። ከተገደሉት ገበሬዎች መካከል፡ (1) የ50 አመቱ ጣፈጠ ደሴ፣ (2) የ65 አመቱ ሙጬ ዪርጋ፣ (3) የ20 አመት ወጣት ጌታሰው አጥናፉ። በተጨማሪም አንድ ወጣት አስቻለው የተባለ ከፍተኛ የመቁሰል አደጋ ከደረሰበት በኋላ ይዘውት ወደ መካነኢየሱስ ከተማ ወስደውታል። የአገዛዙ ካድሬዎች የተገደሉት የፋኖ አባላት ናቸው በማለት ድርጊቱን ለማድበስበስ እየሞከሩ ይገኛሉ።

ሁለተኛው ግድያ የተካሄደው በመስከረም 5 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም. ሲሆን ግድያው የተፈጸመውም በፋርጣ ወረዳ ማህደረማርያም ከተማ ውስጥ ነው። የተገደለውም ዳንኤል ዳኛቸው የተባለ የሚኒባስ አሽከርካሪ ሲሆን፣ በአገዛዙ ሃይሎች የአንዳቤት ወረዳ የጤና ባለሞያወችን ከወለሽ ከተማ ወደ ደብረታቦር ከተማ እንዲያጓጉዛቸው መመሪያ ተሰጥቶት ነበር። ለዚህም ደብዳቤ ተቀብሎ የነበረ ሲሆን፣ የጤና ባለሞያወችን ደብረታቦር አድርሶ ሲመለስ ከአርብ ገበያ የመጡ የአገዛዙ ሃይሎች ማህደረማርያም ከተማ ውስጥ ይይዙታል። ምንም እንኳን ደብዳቤውን ቢያሳያቸው በጭካኔ ደጋግመው በመተኮስ ገድለውታል።
