The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has learned that on July 18th, 2025 Oromo Prosperity Party regime soldiers (regime forces) carried out a series of deadly attacks resulting in civilian casualties in separate incidents in Arb-Gebeya town of Tach-Gayint Woreda (South Gonder Zone) and Sergaj Kebele of Gonder-Zuriya Woreda (Central Gonder Zone) in Amhara Region, Ethiopia. In the first incident, during intense fighting on July 18th, regime forces stationed on Awanda Mountain carried out indiscriminate shelling targeting Arb-Gebeya town (Tach-Gayint Woreda) resulting in civilian casualties. Among the killed victims were three members of a single family identified as: (1) the family's breadwinner Wasu; (2) his wife Kasu, and (3) their infant child. A daily laborer was also injured by ZU-23 shrapnel. In the second incident, following intense fighting on July 18th in Maksegnit (Gonder-Zuriya Woreda) regime forces reportedly sustained significant losses. In reprisal, regime forces carried out a series of retaliatory killings targeting civilians in Sergaj Kebele. The victims were identified as: (1) 50-year-old farmer and father of 10 children, Gobeze Dessie; (2) 42-year-old farmer and father of three children, Melese Atalo; and (3) 60-year-old father of nine children, Adugna Melkamu.

የአማራ ማኅበር በአሜሪካ እንደተረዳው፣ ሐምሌ 11 ቀን 2017 ዓ.ም. የኦሮሞ ብልጽግና ፓርቲ አገዛዝ ወታደሮች (የአገዛዝ ኃይሎች) በአማራ ክልል፣ በደቡብ ጎንደር ዞን በታች-ጋይንት ወረዳ በአርብ-ገበያ ከተማ እንዲሁም በማዕከላዊ ጎንደር ዞን በጎንደር-ዙሪያ ወረዳ በሰርጋጅ ቀበሌ በተለያዩ አጋጣሚዎች ተከታታይ ገዳይ ጥቃቶችን በመፈጸማቸው በሰላማዊ ሰዎች ላይ ሞትና ጉዳት ደርሷል። በመጀመሪያው ክስተት ሐምሌ 11 ቀን በተካሄደው ከባድ ውጊያ የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች በአውንዳ ተራራ ላይ ተቀምጠው በአርብ ገበያ ከተማ (ታች-ጋይንት ወረዳ) ላይ ያነጣጠረ መድፍ በመተኮሳቸው በሰላማዊ ሰዎች ላይ ጉዳት ደርሷል። ከተገደሉት መካከል የሚከተሉት የአንድ ቤተሰብ አባላት ይገኙበታል፡- (1) የቤተሰቡ አስተዳዳሪ ዋሱ፤ (2) ባለቤቱ ካሱ እና (3) ጨቅላ ልጃቸው። እንዲሁም አንድ የቀን ሰራተኛ የሆነ ወጣት በዙ-23 መድፍ ተባራሪ ተተኳሽ ክፉኛ ቆስሏል። በሁለተኛው ክስተት ሐምሌ 11 ቀን በማክሰኚት (ጎንደር-ዙሪያ ወረዳ) በተካሄደው ከባድ ውጊያ የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች ከፍተኛ ኪሳራ እንደደረሰባቸው ተዘግቧል። በዚህም ምክንያት የአገዛዙ ኃይሎች በሰርጋጅ ቀበሌ በሰላማዊ ሰዎች ላይ ያነጣጠረ ተከታታይ የጅምላ ግድያ ፈጽመዋል። ተጎጂዎቹም የሚከተሉት ናቸው፡- (1) የ50 ዓመቱ ገበሬና የአሥር ልጆች አባት ጎበዜ ደሴ፤ (2) የ42 ዓመቱ ገበሬና የሦስት ልጆች አባት መለሰ አታሎ እና (3) የ60 ዓመቱና የአሥር ልጆች አባት አዱኛ መልካሙ።
