On March 26th, 2023 federal government security personnel abducted journalists Aragaw Sisay of Roha News, and Getinet Ashagrie of Voice of Amhara. Both journalists and respective media outlets were known for reporting on the Amhara Genocide in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia.
