Update on the massacre of Amharas by Oromia Special Forces (OSF), Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) and Qeerro in Kiremu Woreda (East Wollega Zone, Oromia Region)

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has confirmed from sources that, starting from November 29, 2022, the Oromia Special Force (OSF), the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) and the local Qeerro commenced a new attack on Amharas civilians in Haro Kebele (ward) and Kiremu town in Kiremu Woreda (district) [East Wollega Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia].
Between January and November 2022, AAA confirmed the massacre of least 73 Amhara civilians by invading Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) militants in Dera Woreda of North Shewa Zone

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has verified that the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) invaded into Dera Woreda (district) [North Shewa Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia] in at least seven incidents this year (2022) during which it perpetrated identity-based attacks on Amhara civilians and their property.

At least 113 Amhara civilians were killed in Alamata town and Raya Alamata Woreda of which 77 are identified by name. The TPLF killed civilians in indiscriminate heavy artillery shelling, in executions after holding them in detention centers, residents were prevented from seeking medical care which caused many to die, and were used as human shields. Many victims were buried in mass grave sites.

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has verified that between November 18 and 20, 2022, the Oromia Special Force (OSF) have killed at least 25 ethnic Amhara civilians, injured 5 others, destroyed and looted Amharas’ properties, and caused displacement of thousands in Kiremu town (district) of East Wollega Zone (Oromia Region, Ethiopia).

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has verified from its sources that at least six people have been killed while an additional five have been abducted (presumed dead) by a coalition of militant groups in the Awjemis desert in Wuzka Kebele (ward) of Dangur Woreda (district) in Metekel Zone (Benishangul-Gumuz Region, Ethiopia) on May 29th, 2022.
