Report on attacks on Amhara residents of Anger Gutin in Gida Ayana Woreda (East Wollega Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia) by Federal and Oromia Regional Government forces between June 19-24, 2023

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has verified that between June 19-24, 2023, multiple attacks were committed against Amhara residents in Anger Gutin town in Gida Ayana Woreda, located in the East Wollega Zone of the Oromia Region in Ethiopia.

Killings and physical injuries of civilians by the Oromo dominated ENDF in Dembecha, Jiga and Finote Selam towns (West Gojjam Zone, Amhara Region, Ethiopia) on June 11 and 12, 2023

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has conducted investigation into the killings and physical injuries of civilians in Dembecha, Jiga and Finote Selam – West Gojjam Zone, Amhara Region – by Oromo-dominated Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) and local police (in Finote Selam). As of Sunday, June 11, 2023 around 6:00 pm, members of the ENDF opened fire in Dembecha city, alleging that they are pursuing members of the Amhara Popular Front (APF) and local Fano members.

ENDF and OLA killed dozens of Amharas and abducted more than 40 Amharas in East Wollega and North Shewa Zones of Oromia Region in Ethiopia

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has verified that between June 13th and June 16, 2023, multiple attacks in Kiremu Woreda (East Wollega Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia) left several people killed and others injured. In addition, on June 17, 2023, dozens of civilians were taken hostage in Ali Doro (North Shewa Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia).
