Overview
Between August 1 to 31, 2026 AWU recorded battle events and human rights incidents across 72 distinct woreda/city administrations in 17 zonal administrations in 4 regions (Amhara, Oromia, Benishangul-Gumuz and Addis-Ababa).
The month of August 2026 marked intense fighting with significant military casualties and shifting control in several strategic areas. This month involved military operations both from the Fano and the Oromo Prosperity Party (OPP) regime's joint armed forces.
Over the reporting period, AWU recorded 106 battle events across 62 woreda/city administrations in 16 zonal administrations across 3 regions (Amhara, Oromia and Benishangul-Gumuz Regions) resulting in 1477 regime casualties and 71 Fano casualties.
145 civilians killed;
27 civilians injured;
0 SGBV/CRSV victims;
47 abductions and
70 arrests.
AWU also recorded 3 drone/air strikes across 1 woreda/city administrations in 1 zonal administrations which accounted for 5 civilian deaths and 0 civilian injuries.
While the majority of human rights incidents implicated OPP regime forces, other perpetrators included Tigray People's Liberation Front, Oromo Liberation Army, Oromia Region Special Forces, Geda Commando Forces and Gumuz militants.

ከሐምሌ 25 እስከ ነሐሴ 25 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም. (ኦገስት 1 እስከ 31፣ 2026) በ72 የተለያዩ ወረዳዎች/ከተማ አስተዳደሮች በ17 የዞን አስተዳደሮች (አማራ፣ ኦሮሚያ፣ ቤኒሻንጉል-ጉሙዝ እና አዲስ-አበባ ክልሎች) ውስጥ የተለያዩ ውጊያዎች እና የሰብአዊ መብት ጥሰቶች ተመዝግበዋል።
በፈረንጆች ኦገስት 2026 ወር በተለያዩ ወሳኝ አካባቢዎች ከፍተኛ ወታደራዊ ጉዳት የደረሰባቸው እና የቁጥጥር ሚዛን ለውጥ የተደረጉባቸው ውጊያዎች ተካሔደዋል። በዚህ ወር የአማራ ፋኖ ራስን የመከላከያ ኀይል ከኦሮሞ ብልጽግና ፖርቲ አገዛዝ ጥምር ኀይሎች ጋር ሰፊ ውጊያዎችን አድርገዋል።
ዘገባው በተሰራበት ጊዜ ውስጥ በ62 ወረዳ/ከተማ አስተዳደሮች በ16 የዞን አስተዳደሮች ውስጥ (አማራ፣ ኦሮሚያ እና ቤኒሻንጉል-ጉሙዝ ክልሎች) የተካሄዱ 106 ውጊያዎች ተመዝግበዋል። በዚኽም 1477 የአገዛዙ ኀይል አባላት ጉዳት ደርሶባቸዋል እና 71 የፋኖ አባላት ጉዳት የደረሰባቸው ተመዝግበዋል።
ዘገባው በተሰራበት ጊዜ ውስጥ በ25 ወረዳ/ከተማ አስተዳደሮች በ10 የዞን አስተዳደሮች በ4 ክልሎች (አዲስ-አበባ፣ አማራ፣ ኦሮሚያ እና ቤኒሻንጉል-ጉሙዝ ክልሎች) 32 የሰብአዊ መብት ረገጣዎች ተመዝግበዋል። በዚኽም
145 ሰላማዊ ሰዎች ተገድለዋል፤
27 ሰላማዊ ሰዎች ቆስለዋል፤
0 ጾታዊ እና ጾታን መሰረት ያደረጉ ጥቃቶች ሰለባዎች፤
47 እገታዎች እና
70 እስራቶች ተመዝግበዋል።
በ1 ዞኖች በሚገኙ 1 ወረዳዎች/ከተማ አስተዳደሮች 3 ሰው አልባ አውሮፕላኖች በአየር ድብደባ በፈጸሙት ጥቃት ለ5 ሰዎች ሞት እና 0 ሰላማዊ ሰዎች ቆስለዋል።
በርካታዎቹ የሰብአዊ መብት ረገጣዎች በኦሮሞ ብልጽግና አገዛዝ ኀይሎች የተፈጸሙ ሲሆን የተወሰኑት ወንጀሎች በትግራይ ሕዝብ ነጻ አውጪ ግንባር፣ ኦሮሞ ነጻነት ሰራዊት፣ ኦሮሚያ ክልል ልዩ ሃይል፣ ገዳ ኮማንዶ ሃይሎች እና ጉሙዝ ታጣቂዎች ተፈጽመዋል።
