Demand U.S. Congress and Canadian House of Commons Condemn the War on Amharas by the Oromo Prosperity Party Regime (OPP) and Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF)

Phone Script for U.S.:
My name is <Name> and I am requesting my representative to demand the State Department and Treasury to sanction Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed of the Oromo Prosperity Party (OPP) and Getachew Reda of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) for atrocities being committed against the Amhara people of Ethiopia. Since April 2023, Prime Minister Abiy’s forces have been deployed into Amhara Region where they have been committing mass killings, rape and mass arrests of journalists, opposition figures, civil society leaders, activists, and others. In the last year alone, thousands have been killed and tens of thousands have been detained in Amhara Region, Oromia Region and Addis Ababa city. Since April 15th, 2024 the TPLF with support of the OPP have invaded the Raya area displacing tens of thousands of civilians and committing other mass human rights violations. I am asking my representative to issue a statement condemning Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the OPP regime, Getachew Reda and the TPLF to demand the Biden administration hold perpetrators accountable and stand on the side of innocent victims.
